Word of the Week: “fit”

It’s Wednesday’s Word of the Week
(with William, Wallace and Wildthing!)
I do like a bit of alliteration.

Today’s word is “fit”,
used in the Aberdonian dialect of Doric
in place of the word “what”.

A couple of examples that I have heard recently:

“fit like?”
(“what like?” or “how are you?”)

“fit ye deein?”
(“what’re you doing?)

So, FIT do you make of that?!
I don’t think I can carry it off…

Next Wednesday: Have you met “ken”?
