Word of the Week: “bucket”

I’ve chosen my first Wednesday Word of the Week of the year
as a common example I have heard since moving to Aberdeen.

Here, the word “bucket” is sometimes used to refer to a “bin”.

“Put it in the bucket.”
(“Put it in the bin.”)

So as we start to think about our 2012 bucket lists
of things we want to do in the next 12 months,
I will try harder to consider
what I’m putting in the other “bucket” as well.

Like they say, reduce, reuse, recycle!
For recycling points in Aberdeen, see the Council website.

wildpaws?

wildpaws?

(If you’re wondering why my wildpaw-prints are scored,
I don’t have horizontal lines across my hands,
I was wearing my handy half-gloves!)

Next Wednesday: A fine piece
