A Scottish Jubilee

How did you spend the Jubilee?

We watched a bit of the BBC coverage
of the Thames River Parade last Saturday.
The event looked quite an amazing spectacle.

On Sunday we headed out to Dunnottar Castle,
making the most of the blue sky and sunshine
as we explored the ruin on the cliff.

On Monday we were back to work,
but we did sit down in the evening
to watch a little of the Diamond Jubilee Concert.
The projections on Buckingham Palace were my favourite,
especially when the whole building was illuminated
like a giant doll house,
with figures dancing as if inside.

The Olympic Torch is due in Aberdeen
on Monday and Tuesday.
We’re planning to head down to Union Street and have a look.

Congratulations to the Queen!
60 years, I hope she enjoyed the celebrations too.
