Word of the Week: “baffies”

Merry Christmas blogland!

I hope you are all cosy at home in your baffies
as the night draws in on this chilly Boxing Day.

Baffled by the word “baffies”?
I was too, but I’ve been reliably informed that it
is a Scottish dialect term for “slippers”,
just like my William and Wallace.

So go on, wrap yourselves up and get snug in your baffies.
I’m going to make a cup of tea and do the same.
