There’s something nostalgic about zoos.
Last weekend I visited Edinburgh Zoo.
I’ll probably write a post about it later, but for now let me say one thing: penguins!
In 1951, one of the zoo’s gentoo penguins set off (followed by others)
out of an open enclosure door.
Since then, keepers have allowed penguins to satisfy their inquisitive nature
by waddling out on ‘parade’ at 2.15pm daily!
I love that penguin participation is completely optional as well,
in case a penguin is having an off day…
